Better Palermo is a collaborative process between citizens and administrative authorities for prioritizing and distributing funds for new projects and projects of maintenance in the city of Palermo. The project is intended to enhance public participation in deliberative democracy and democratic decision making
Better Palermo is an online consultation where citizens are given the chance to present their ideas on issues regarding public services in the city
Registered users participate in the process by presenting their ideas, viewing other users‘ ideas, arguing issues, voicing their opinion and by rating ideas and argumentation by supporting or opposing them
The City of Palermo commits itself to formally address the ideas presented on the following manner: the five top rated ideas are processed in the appropriate standing committee.
